interview with Jesus....
here's yet another text message...:-)
a fantasy interview with Jesus.....
Q: was the cross heavy?
Jesus: No, your sins were.
Q: Was the flogging painful?
Jesus: No, your ignorance was.
Q: Did the nails hurt?
Jesus: No, your stubbornness did.
Q: Finally, was the life on earth difficult?
Jesus: It is in Heaven without you that's difficult.

the pencil parable...
i couldn't agree more with the message i received on my phone a couple days ago, sent to me by a good friend. it goes...
A pencil maker told his pencils 5 important things he wanted them to know...
* you will go through painful sharpening, which will make you a better pencilA pencil maker told his pencils 5 important things he wanted them to know...
* everything that you do will leave a mark.
* you will be able to correct any mistakes that you make
* what is most important is whats inside you
* to be the best pencil you can be, you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the hands that hold you
....... you are a pencil in God's hands.
p.s: thank you Achun for thinking of me... and taking the time to send me this message.i'm inspired.

easter blessings.....
this easter weekend has been a specially blessed one for me. besides church and family, i found myself spending most of my time with my high school class mates Asena and Bembem and of course Tia, Bembem's little girl.
i have had many high school friends i grew so close and loved so dearly... many i haven't been able to keep in touch with....i had happened upon most of them after several years one way or the other only to find the closeness and the bond weakened, the love we shared faded away. not so with Bembem. its been over 10 years since we graduated from school... yet when we're together, we still feel like high school girls sharing dreams of our future. we talked for hours into the nights, shared our experiences, our ups and downs, our goods, our bads and our uglies.
my heart is heavy as i write this...cause Bembem has to return to her hometown in a couple days. ah i'm getting all teary now. but i'm so thankful to our God, who has preserved us and made this meeting possible. we have promised to stay in frequent touch... to cherish and treasure the moments we shared during this past few weeks together.
spent precious moments talking.... listening to each other....
little Tia... i'm so obsessed about her. she's adorable and never ceased to entertain us....
beautiful Asena... with whom i'm in constant touch.... she's one of the sweetest friends i have. i'm so thankful for friends as such. bless her!!
oh what an Easter weekend 'twas!! I hope you all had one as blessed as mine... my hope and prayer is that these blessings overflow and spill on to our tomorrows and weeks ahead...:-)

good friday....
"It's a Good Friday for me too", said my non Christian friend.... all of us turned to him and threw questioning looks....he grinned and answered..."Cause my boss isn't coming to work tomorrow". well, we laughed...but his joke brought back to mind, something so precious God had taught me a couple days ago.
i was about an hour ahead... was done with my work for the day... so i took a little more than half an hour to catch up with a good friend of mine, which my boss obviously didn't approve of. when i got back, he walked up to my work station and reprimanded me. as i waited for him to finish his lectures, reminding me of the dos and don'ts blah blah blah, i had sarcastic apologies, rebellious answers and explanations lined up in my mind. i had them ready to blurt out. the moment i was about to open my mouth to fight, i was reminded of the verses i had read that morning....
“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves” (Rom. 13:1-2)
you see, i so love the fact that God hears our prayers and answers us. He uses His word to speak to us... to teach us and to keep us on the right track... He keeps us from falling into temptation when we mean it in our hearts when we pray "...and lead us not into temptation...".God has been using His words to speak to my heart... crystal clear. Has God been using His words to speak to you too? It'd be nice and encouraging to hear your story...:-)
May the love of Christ fill our hearts this Good Friday!!
